「世界のブックデザインコレクション」のほとんどは世界の本とそれぞれのユニークな製本を紹介することです。大幅に３の章に分かれていて：１）Structure（構造）２）Materials（素材）３）Technique（仕組）。各本はどうやって作られているかちょびっと紹介されているけど詳しく書かれてないことが残念。この浅さは「eye candy」（意味：見た目には魅力的だが、面白さや有用性に乏しい）だと判断してしまうけど、製本の幅広い世界へのコレクションになっていて誰かに参考になるでしょう。最後の索引にデザイナーたちが紹介されて、これも参考にはなります。
The bulk of Art in Book is the showcasing of a number of books from around the world and the different, unique binding and cover techniques the employ. All the books showcased are categorised into three areas: Structure, materials and technique. There is a bit of information about how each is put together, but nothing in depth. Its shallowness does make it eye-candy, but it is still a collection of different approaches to binding and covers that could be of reference. There’s an index of all the designers features at the back.
